HELP US SUPPORT TAF

Now more than ever - WTIA membership makes cent$

With the ever growing concerns over the national financial crisis and it’s impact on businesses here in the Northwest, there’s not better time to join the WTIA to lower your cost of doing business or to find new customers.

In a tough economy every penny counts.  That’s why we’ve worked hard to negotiate special discounts on over 20 products & services - discounts that quickly pay for the cost of WTIA membership.  And with our new Member2Member (M2M) Program you’ll receive unique discounts on products and services from other WTIA members. From health care to office equipment, from audio/video conferencing to cellular telephones, the WTIA has the most comprehensive package of discounted services in the market.

When it comes to helping you find new customers, membership has its advantages.  WTIA members receive unique opportunities to tell their story, advertise their offerings, and connect with potential new customers.  WTIA members can take advantage of our Member2Member (M2M) Program to create a special company offering for the industry or receive significant discounts (40%) on advertising through our website and newsletters.  Interested in getting broad visibility for your business or talk directly with potential customers?  Then consider a member spotlight or the sponsorship of an WTIA event or program.

In this difficult time we encourage you to take a look at WTIA membership.  For more information on membership visit our site, e-mail us, or call 206-448-3033 X107.

ADVOCACY & OUTREACH

WTIA Endorses Governor Gregoire
The WTIA is endorsing Governor Christine Gregoire for governor.  This was not an easy decision as we have passionate members who support both candidates.  In addition, both candidates have solid records of support for the key issues that WTIA advocates for on tax issues, K-12, higher education and association health plans.  In fact a case could be made to either endorse both candidates or simply not endorse at all.

But Gov. Gregoire really stepped up when it came to higher education in the current state budget.  She really gets it when it comes to understanding that developing talent is the key to succeeding in the global economy.  She has a done a good job as "chief sales officer" of the state, a role that governors must play today to promote their state's products and services.

She also has moved the ball on K-12 education by placing emphasis on improving math and science teaching, standards and curriculum.  We look forward to seeing Gov. Gregoire continue those efforts to improve K-12 education.  It is critical to the future of the state.
